absolutelynothing

Photoblog of the Week - August 31, 2009

absolutelynothing is a photoblog produced by UK based photographer Tristan Campbell. According to the about page of the blog Tristan was inspired to take pictures by his grandfather Cyril Campbell - a lifelong photographer. Tristan populates the blog with a combination of his photographs and photographs taken by his grandfather

The vast majority of the nearly 1000 images found on absolutelynothing are landscape photographs. The archives are divided by location, landscape type, season and mood.

Tristan has an amazing ability to capture the dramatic landscapes of the English countryside with delicate grace and total control. There is a clear focus on trees, rocks, sea and sky.

I found that the most powerful way to explore absolutelynothing's photo archive was to view images by mood. This organization moves away from the usual mode of tagging and image based on the content but rather is a way of the artist to express what mood or feeling he is trying to express with a photo. Choose between Moody, Mysterious, Beauty, Timeless and Atmospheric moods to get an amazing selection of thematically organized images.
