moodaholic is a photoblog by Dutch based photographer Kenny Weng is an inspiring collection of landscape and sky. If the name of the blog - moodaholic - isn't enough of an indicator, Kenny likes to bring as much mood and atmosphere into his photos as possible. With a heavy focus on clouds and dramatic colors these heavily processed photographs bring movingly powerful emotions out of the landscape. The sky is one of the primary features on this photoblog. Kenny sometimes chooses the sky as his primary subject and other times uses it to highlight other subjects. Even with a heavy focus on sky and clouds moodaholic is not afraid to shoot other subjects. Be it a beautiful woman or a herd of cattle there is a consistent sense of drama and intensity that permeates the photos. moodaholic is addicted to moods and it shows. I found his photos to be moving while at the same time making me want to go outside and take my own pictures. To be able to so fully capture the mood and atmosphere of a place or a moment is an amazing ability indeed and Kenny Weng does not dissapoint. |
